    Christmasberry - Live Plant

    DESCRIPTION

Related to super food goji berry, Christmasberry, Lycium carolinianum, is a salt marsh loving evergreen spindling grower! You can spot these in the wild at a Weedon Island Preserve. They can grow in any moist sunny to part shade location, produce a cute pink flower, and a small red fruit. The plant gets its common name from the scarlet red berries that appear abundance in December. While toxic to some animals, the berries are a favorite food source for many birds. Ripe fruits are edible to humans and may be consumed raw, dried or made into a tea. Flowers typically appear in summer and fall, although some specimens can bloom intermittently throughout the year. The nectar-rich flowers attract a variety of butterflies, moths and bees.

Perennial. 3 gallon. Grown by Wise Hands.

This is a Live Plant. At this time, we are unable to ship live plants, and are for local pick up from St. Pete, Florida only.
