Fall Garden Planning - Online

Walk away with a completed plan for your garden

Cost:

FREE per person

Duration:

2h

About this experience

This workshop will cover annual vegetable crops that thrive in our fall gardens. You will walk away with a completed plan on exactly what plants will go where and a purchasing list for you to implement your garden design.

We will discuss plant families and their needs plus a list of varieties that grow well in Florida for each group. I will cover seeds vs starts and give you a few planning tips. Using the worksheet I will provide you will take 45 minutes to plan your spring garden out. During that time I will be available for questions if you are unsure of anything. We will then meet back up to discuss a purchasing list, seed or plant suppliers, and costs.

You will be able to attend the live online workshop so that you can ask questions and a post class recording of the teaching portion of class will also be emailed if you cannot make the designated time or would like a review. The webinar will be hosted on Zoom - a free webinar platform that can be accessed by phone or computer.

Elise Pickett has been teaching the basics of growing organic and sustainable food in the city for over 10 years. She will be joined for this event by Rachel Perinno of Little Tree Homestead & Nursery. Both growers will help you to fine tune your garden plan so that you can grow some of your own food!
