Fig trees are all self-fertile and very productive. A fertile well-drained soil is recommended along with plentiful sunlight for maximum production. The fig plant is a bush or small tree, from 3 feet to 15 feet high, with broad, rough, deciduous leaves that are deeply lobed or sometimes nearly entire.
