Mountain Mint ( Pycnanthemum virginianum): This perennial mint species grows up to several feet tall. The tips turn into white bracts with showy terminal buds. The flowers are white to pinkish in color. Very similar to dotted horsemint, but the scent is more similar to a spearmint. The flowers bloom summer to fall. Native to Georgia and Florida south to Hernando county. This species attracts many species of bees and butterflies.
