Andropogon gerardii. Found in moist or semi-moist soils in full sun or part shade, Big Bluestem's seedhead is branched and resembles a turkey's foot, green or blue-green in the warmer months and maroon in the cooler months. Good for erosion control in sandy areas. Grows 4-8 feet tall.
