Giant ironweed is a blooming perennial that bears clusters of deep purple flowers. Each flower head may consist of 30-50 flowers. Attractive to both birds and butterflies the blossoms grow atop tall stiff stems. A tall and narrow plant, this is good for tight spaces or along yard borders. Does best in full sun to partial shade.
