The small fruited varnish leaf is a close relative to the varnishleaf. Small Fruited Varnish Leaf's fruit only reaches about 0.25 inches long while varnsihleaf reaches 1 inch. It's light green flowers can be seen in the fall and the plant fruits for the remainder of the year. This plant is endemic to the Florida Keys but is endangered. This plant requires full sun with dry sandy soil. Can grow to 10'.
