Packet of seeds is about 36-60 seeds, depending on the variety. [Venezuelan heirloom. Seed source from Donna Hudson in TN.] Has the same shape, size, color, and aroma as Habanero, but is sweet, spicy, and delicious, with only a trace of heat. Highly aromatic fruits; their flavor is unusual and complex, with overtones of black pepper and coriander, and undertones of other spicy flavors. An excellent choice for sautéed vegetables, rice and bean dishes, paprika, or herbal vinegar. The thin-walled pendant fruits are 1" x 2", tapering at both the stem and blossom end. Plants have good foliage cover and bear at 18” high. Seedlings grow slowly at first but grow rapidly later in the season. (C. chinense ) 111 days. (green > orange-red > red)

Open Pollinated Heirloom Seeds Selected To Thrive
This is a curated collection of seeds I have found to grow well in Florida over the years. It is designed to take the overwhelm and thought process out of figuring out which varieties to select that will actually grow well here.
Some of the seed is saved from myself and other small local growers for harder to source varieties that you can't find online.
The majority of the seed varieties will come from dedicated seed supply companies like Working Food or Southern Exposure Seed Exchange to keep up with demand. We always prioritize localized seed sources which have a sustainable and equitable business model.

Perfect for beginners & small spaces
I don’t have a problem getting the seeds to germinate. I have a problem getting them to stay alive once they grow their first two leaves before they are large enough to transplant to the garden.
