Crisphead lettuce. Developed by the University of Hawaii for seed that is able to germinate in high soil temperatures. Looks and tastes just like a "standard" iceberg lettuce but with more tender leaves and way better flavor. It is especially heat tolerant and bolt resistant but all lettuces here prefers some afternoon shade especially in fall and spring for best flavor.
Packet: 400-600 seeds.
Good to start from seed in these months:
North Florida: January-April, September-December
Central Florida: January-March, September-December
