The Oro Negro avocado, also known as the "Black Gold" avocado, is a hybrid avocado with a rich, creamy flavor and very high oil content. The fruit is elliptical in shape, turns black as it matures, and can weigh up to two pounds. The flesh is yellow-green, creamy, and has a nutty flavor. Oro Negro avocados are harvested from November to January.
