Beans can reach nearly 2 feet in length. These vining beans are a fantastic option over the summer when traditional beans struggle - they absolutely love the heat and humidity. As soon as they start to get bumps harvest them for peak tenderness and flavor. Just chop them up into bite size pieces and treat like any normal bean for cooking. I have found that they produce great but not for an extended length of time so I like to succession plant every month or so over the summer for continual production.

I plant them with red long beans. They make a colorful stir fry, or I steam them, and, sometime the grandkids and I eat them raw, fresh off the vine.
So far so good! Everything a sowed germinated!
