Mammoth Sunflower

The giant sunflowers everyone will be talking about. They can reach 9-10 foot in height and have heads bigger than a foot across. Great for wow effect but also good for sunflower seeds whether for yourself or the birds. Give them about 2 feet in between plants and 3 months to mature. Sunflowers are beloved by squirrels and any other number of critters here. I like to overplant quite a lot so that I am guaranteed that a few are missed by pests. I'll even put chicken wire loosely over the area I plant so the squirrels cant dig them up easily and then remove it once it has its first set of true leaves.
