Tahitian Melon Squash

(C. moschata) Gigantic fruit compared to Seminole Pumpkin and just as resilient to our growing conditions. I had a vine last 2.5 years in my south Florida garden where it would die back in sections just to keep on trucking. It will root along the length of the stem just like Seminole giving it that ability to overcome pest and disease. Huge vigorous vine that can crawl 30 feet or more. Although it can be tempting to trellis it to save space that takes away its ability to root so make sure if you do trellis it to let it drape back down to the ground often. They are a sweet delicious flesh just like a butternut squash or Seminole pumpkin and also make great storage food and will keep fresh for 6+ months. I've had a single fruit weigh over 8 pounds!
