The vanilla orchid plant is an interesting tropical addition to your garden. Thick green vines will climb if assisted, and the plant will occasionally make an orchid blossom which can be hand pollinated to produce a vanilla flavored fruit pods. Blossoms must be hand pollinated to produce pods. Moist and nutrient dense soil is recommended.
