The small umbels of white flowers attract many pollinators, including Monarch butterflies. This small milkweed spreads to form attractive drifts. The thin whorled leaves grant a delicate texture which combines well with other plants of lower stature in an interplanted design or a rock garden. Delicate three-to-four inch pods form later in the season as the leaves turn to yellow and orange, providing interest well into autumn. Whorled Milkweed likes dry sandy, or rocky soil in full or partial sun. Both deer and rabbit resistant, this milkweed is poisonous to livestock.
Perennial. 1 gallon pot. Grown by Wise Hands.
