An Asian pole bean that is so named for the soft wings that form on its 4 sides. Every part of the plant is edible and it is a nitrogen fixer so very useful for a permaculture garden. Make sure to pick the beans when the pods are still flexible and young for best flavor. I chop up the beans into bite size pieces and use as I would a standard green bean. Thrives in heat and humidity but the day light neutral one (which we offer) can even be grown through the winter months in south Florida. Likes consistent moisture since its from the tropics.
