Jericho Lettuce

Romaine heading lettuce. This was bred in Israel for the desert heat so is well acclimated to our hot summers. Leaves are mostly green and look just like standard "romaine" lettuce. It's resistant to tip burn but like all lettuces here prefers some afternoon shade especially in fall and spring for best flavor. A little slower to produce than other lettuces but very hardy so worth the space.

Packet: 400-600 seeds.
