Aji Sazonar

Aji Sazonar is a seasoning pepper from Cuba. It is one of the most perennial types of peppers grown in Florida. Plants have lived for 4 years, not under irrigated conditions and have even resprouted from the roots after freezes to continue growing. Peppers are produced throughout most of the year. The plant is large, woody and upright. The peppers are not hot but not ultra delicious, acceptable for cooking into dishes. They lack much flavor and have thin walls. However, these are worth growing as they are a strongly perennial non-pungent pepper.
