Capsicum chinense. Aji Jobito is a rare, highly productive pepper hailing from Venezuela that delivers all the rich, tropical fruity flavor of a habanero without the fiery heat. Belonging to the Capsicum chinense species, it matures in 90 to 120 days on compact plants that produce an abundance of thick-walled pods ripening from light green to a vibrant orange. With a extremely mild profile (0–1,000 SHU), its sweet, citrus-tinged flavor and satisfying crunch make it superior to many sweet peppers for fresh salads, salsas, and stuffing.
Beware, an occasional plant may produce a hotter pepper.
