Also known as "waterleaf" (Talinum triangulare/fruticosum), this tasty and versatile green is one of the most drought and heat-tolerant edible plants we know. The entire plant is edible with a light lemony flavor to it - very refreshing. I prefer it raw in salads but it can be cooked (you just need large volumes to make it work since it cooks down a lot due to the watery nature of the leaves). Sow on the surface of the soil. Prefers shade, heat, humidity and abundant moisture. Will reseed freely once established but is easy enough to pull up if its in the way.
