Passiflora edulis Bounty Passionfruit is an exceptionally vigorous, self-fertile vine renowned for producing heavy yields of large, sweet-tart purple fruit without requiring hand pollination or cross-pollination. The striking, exotic flowers add ornamental beauty to the garden while attracting pollinators like bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, and serving as a host plant for caterpillars. Once mature, the aromatic fruits naturally fall to the ground when fully ripe, yielding sweet golden pulp that is delicious eaten fresh or used in smoothies, juices, and tropical desserts. Note that seeds harvested from this selection are grown as "Bounty seedlings," which reliably produce true-to-type, highly productive plants.
