Red Sails Lettuce

Looseleaf lettuce. Red tipped leaves grow more red with cooler weather and more mature leaves. Can harvest individual leaves or allow it to grow into a loose head. All lettuces here prefers some afternoon shade especially in fall and spring for best flavor. Red varieties of lettuce tend to fizzle earlier in the heat than green types in my experience so start your last succession planting early.
