Evening Sun Sunflower

Stunning reddish brown blooms that average 4 inches across. These get very tall easily reaching over your head. Bonus with this variety is that you will typically get multiple secondary blooms, making them a "branching" variety. Sunflowers are beloved by squirrels and any other number of critters here. I like to overplant quite a lot so that I am guaranteed that a few are missed by pests. I'll even put chicken wire loosely over the area I plant so the squirrels cant dig them up easily and then remove it once it has its first set of true leaves.
