Solanum lycopersicum. Guajito Tomato is a rare, eye-catching heirloom originating from Chiapas, Mexico, known for its distinct, elongated pear-shaped fruits with a unique narrow neck. Growing to about 2.75 inches long, the fruits ripen to a striking orange to reddish-orange color with light orange, meaty flesh.
Maturing in 55 to 80 days on manageable indeterminate vines that reach 3 to 4 feet tall, it delivers a rich, complex flavor balancing sweet and acidic notes. Highly productive and well-adapted to warm climates, Guajito is an exceptional choice for tomato collectors, fresh salads, roasting, and rich pasta sauces.
