Solanum lycopersicum. LA All Season Tomato is a classic 1950s commercial heirloom bred by Louisiana State University specifically to thrive in the heat and humidity of the American South. Maturing in 80 to 89 days on vigorous, indeterminate vines, it produces heavy harvests of medium to large, pink oblate-to-globe-shaped fruits ranging from 4 to 16 ounces.
The tomatoes feature a strong, rich, classic flavor with a nice acid-sugar balance. Resistant to fusarium wilt and capable of setting fruit through scorching mid-to-late summer temperatures, it is an outstanding, dependable pick for both spring and fall gardens in hot climates.
