Don't let your expensive fruit tree perish, lets set it up for success together! We will hold a 45 minute class on how to properly plant a fruit tree including soil prep, fertilizers, mulching, watering afterwards, and more. We will do a demo planting while we talk so that you can see exactly how its done.
After our class everyone will be pitching in to spread some mulch and weed the garden beds at the Farm School. Your assistance volunteering for this part of the class will help set the school garden up for success the following month and your contribution is greatly appreciated. This one hour of volunteering is why the class is FREE so please allow time after our class to help out.
We will be outside for the duration. The class will be in the shade and the volunteer work will be in the sun so dress accordingly. Wear comfortable work clothes, close toed shoes (we will be working in mulch), and bring lots of water!
Class will be held at the Creative Play Farm School on Sunday July 13 from 9:00-11:00am.
Elise has her permaculture design certificate and has been teaching Florida gardening and homesteading for over a decade. She is also the garden teacher for the Creative Play Farm School.
