Thai Basil

Delicious anise flavored basil is popular ingredient in Asian cooking. The stems and flowers are a deeper purple than traditional basil and I have found it is much more tolerant of having flowers. Normally the plant quickly dies after it flowers, but Thai basil will hold on without care. It will slow leaf production though so best to keep trimmed before the stems turn brown.
